     students, grades 9-12.

History:
Servite High School was founded in 1958 by Father Maurice Gillespie, OSM
and his small band of friars. They brought with them from St. Philip High
School in Chicago minimal equipment, supplies and personnel. Waiting to
greet them was an unfinished brick building and 110 boys that would comprise
the inaugural freshmen class.
Through the grace of God and the hard work of the Friars and their staff,
Servite High School has grown into one of the premiere Catholic High Schools
in the country. As the school approaches its 50th anniversary, it boats 7,500
alumni in 45 graduating classes. The school's rigorous academic program,
ground-breaking Formation Program, and first-rate athletic teams makes Servite
High School a place which welcomes boys, but graduates men.

Cultural Demographic:
Students attending Servite are primarily from middle and
upper-middle class families. Though some of the families might
be considered affluent, 20% of families are receiving finanial aid.
Servite students are 40% caucasian, 30% hispanic, 29% Asian,
and 2% black.
