History:
The college was founded in 1958 and was initially called St Philip’s Regional High School for Boys. In 1968 we changed our name to Servite College, and then in 1973 accepted girls into the college.
We have nearly 50 years involvement in the education of young men and women in the local area. During this time the Servite Friars have made a significant commitment to maintaining strong links with the school and fortunately we have continued to have a physical presence of the Friars in the school community. The Servite presence is deeply valued by the college community and plays a significant part in maintaining the vibrance of Servite Charisms.
We strive to instil the 8 Servite values ( Marian Identity, Community, Service, Openness & Respect for Diversity, Holistic Education, Evangelisation, Universality, and Compassion for the Poor) in our students.
Our Pastoral Care structure is based on 6 Priories ( Annunziata, Senario,
San Clemente, St Marys, Our Lady of Sorrows, St Anthonys ). Each name of the
Priories is of historical significance to the Servite Friars. Each Priory is headed by a Priory Co-ordinator who is part of the College middle management team and is responsible for the well being of the students in their care. Each priory has students from each year so a sense of community is generated within the priory as older students are responsible for the care of the younger students.

Cultural Demographic:
The majority of students at Servite College have a Catholic background.  Other students have primarily Christian roots with a small percentage of students from other faith traditions.
The students have a widerange of ethnic backgrounds.  The majority of the students have Australian, Italian, or Vietnamese ancestry.  There is also a small number of students from Africa and other parts of Europe.
