Welcome to the International Servite Schools' Network Website!

Previous Conferences

The International Servite Schools' Network is a gathering of schools from around the
world that use the common bond of education in the Servite tradition to build cultural,
intellectual and academic relationships between schools and students from different
ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and who live on different continents.

The Servite schools are in nations including the United States, South Africa, Bolivia,
India, Chile, Australia, Argentina, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom and France. The
schools have a common bond in that they are conducted by the Servants of Mary, an
order of priests, brothers and sisters which dates back to the thirteenth century. With
the exception of the two high schools in the United States, all of the participating
schools are ‘public schools’ in that they are funded by local or national governments.

To date, members of the Network have gathered for four conferences.  The inagurual
conference took place in 1998 in Paris, France.  This has been followed by conferences in Anaheim, California in 2002, Florence, Italy in October 2006 and Chicago, Illinois in March, 2007.  These conferences have brought together top administrators, teachers, and technology experts to discuss not only how technology can help bridge geographic and cultural gaps, but actually create projects that the members can implement at their schools.
