The International Servite Schools’ Network (ISSN) is excited to announce the 5th International Conference, organized for those involved in Servite Education.
Following the success of the previous four conferences, we hope that even more people will be able to attend next year’s conference, where the theme is “Servite Values in the Classroom.” The attached flyer will give you the necessary details. The conference will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A. at Marian – a Servite, all-girls college preparatory school. The conference will take place from Monday, September 29th through Friday, October 3rd, 2014.
The mission of the ISSN is “to promote dialogue, collaboration, and interaction amongst Servite schools worldwide.” At next year’s conference, the mission will be served through examining and sharing how Servite values are alive in the classroom. Through past conferences, schools owned, operated, affiliated with, and/or inspired by the Order of Servants of Mary have built international connections and resources allowing for dialogue, collaboration, and interaction. The conferences allow for celebration of the Servite charisms while allowing greater visibility to the expanding global network of the ISSN.
A new addition to the conference is a parallel student conference, allowing up to four students from each of the Servite school to attend. Students will have the opportunity to share and explore how their own schools celebrate the Servite values in the classroom, and how they can foster the growth of the Servite charisms in Servite schools worldwide.
A more detailed breakdown of membership fees, deposits, and conference costs is explained in the included information.
With all good wishes and looking forward to meeting you,
Luke Ostrander, Conference Treasurer
